Happy Life | Lucky Me collection | Doodlebug Design Inc

Hi creative friends!

There’s nothing quite like documenting everyday happiness, and the gorgeous Lucky Me Collection from Doodlebug Design Inc makes it impossibly fun! For today’s scrapbook layout, I leaned all the way into bright colours, playful patterns, and cheerful icons to celebrate a moment that truly represents a happy life.

This layout starts with the gorgeous rainbow‑filled 'Rainbow Skies' patterned paper, instantly setting a joyful tone. The repeating rainbows create a whimsical background, perfect for everyday memories that deserve a little extra sunshine. To add visual interest, I folded back 2 corners of the paper to reveal the sunny yellow gingham pattern on the back! Layering this over the vibrant pink 'My Lucky Charm' patterned paper, the folds in the paper point right toward the photo and drawing the eye straight to the heart of the page.

Speaking of adorable details—can we talk about the smiling sunshine icons? These sweet little characters add such personality and warmth to the layout. Paired with fluffy cloud die-cuts, hearts, and tiny accents all from the 'All The Things' ephemera pack, they help tell the story without overwhelming the photo.

The photo is matted simply to keep the focus on the memory, while small sentiment stickers like “love it” and “so happy” tuck in perfectly around it. These simple phrases add meaning and reinforce the carefree, happy theme of the page.

For the title, I mixed and matched text die-cuts to create “happy LIFE”, letting the word LIFE to stand out in fresh green tones. The title was adhered using craft foam to add dimension to the page.

My tip: When working with bold patterned papers like those in the Lucky Me Collection, try using strong geometric shapes (like triangles or angled panels) to help guide the eye around the page. Not only do they add playful movement, but they’re also a great way to spotlight your photo without needing lots of extra embellishments. Let the patterns and colours do the happy work for you!

One of my favorite things about the Lucky Me Collection is how effortlessly everything works together. The icons, patterns, colours, and sentiments are all perfectly coordinated, making it easy to create a polished layout while still having fun with playful designs.

If you’re looking to document everyday moments, special memories, or simply celebrate the joy in your life, the Lucky Me Collection is truly a must‑have. Bright, happy, and full of charm—just like the memories it helps preserve.

Happy creating!

Happy Moment | Bramble Fox

Hi creative friends!

There is something so special about documenting the little snapshots of life—the moments that may seem ordinary at the time, but become truly meaningful over the years. For today’s layout, I used several pieces from the Bramble Fox April Fox Box to create a bright, layered page that celebrates one of those happy moments.

This layout is built on a structured grid design, featuring multiple patterned paper squares arranged neatly across the page. The grid creates a clean foundation while still leaving plenty of room for colour, texture, and dimension. I love how this approach allows each small section to tell part of the story while still feeling cohesive overall.

The patterned papers from the Heart Eyes collection by Simple Stories bring a lively mix of hearts, florals, stripes, and playful icons. By keeping the background white and spacing each square evenly, the page feels balanced and visually calm—even with lots of detail packed into each panel.

Several of the embellishments on the page were custom-cut using Paper Snips #89. Cutting out elements allows you to echo patterns from the papers while adding layers and shadows that give the layout a more handcrafted feel. Tucking the cut elements slightly under the grid squares helps soften the overall structure and draws the eye around the page naturally.

I also used stencil #137 from the April Fox Box, can you spot where?

Tarrah's tip: Not keen on mixed media? No problem! Use inks through the Bramble Fox stencils on scrap paper or cardstock and fussy cut the images out, just as I did! It’s a great way to add detail and dimension without altering your background.

The star of the layout, besides my photo, is the beautiful “Happy Moments” perspextive title from the April Fox Box. Positioned beside the photo, it anchors the design and immediately communicates the theme of the page. The raised dimension of the acrylic adds a pop of texture and makes the title stand out against the patterned background underneath.

I kept the surrounding embellishments minimal so the title could really shine—sometimes one strong statement piece is all a layout needs.

This layout is a reminder that everyday moments are worth documenting. With thoughtful layering, careful placement, and a mix of texture and pattern, this page came together as a celebration of a memory that truly deserves its place in an album.

The April Fox Box, especially the Happy Moments title, Paper Snips #89, and Stencil #137, made it easy to create a layout that feels both polished and personal.

Thanks so much for stopping by today—I hope this inspires you to capture your own happy moments very soon.

Lucky Charm | Lucky Me collection | Doodlebug Design Inc

Hi creative friends!

One of my favourite things about Doodlebug Design Inc collections is the adorable characters—and the Lucky Me Collection has some of the cutest! This layout was so much fun to create with all the sweet leprechauns, shamrocks, and pops of happy green and yellow featured in the gorgeous Lucky Me collection!

For this layout, I wanted to keep the design playful while still letting the photo shine. I started with a crisp white background and framed it with the Shamrock Wishes patterned paper from the Lucky Me Collection to create a bold, festive border. The layered greens instantly set the vibe and give the page a fresh, lively feel.

To build my main design, I created a vertical panel on the left side using the 'B' side of the Rainbow Skies patterned paper. I added a scalloped green border sticker from the This & That sticker sheet along the edge to bring in extra texture and dimension. This panel helps anchor the layout and draws your eye right toward the photo and embellishment cluster.

I layered several embellishments around the photo, including sweet little leprechauns, shamrocks, and a pot of gold.

The layered die-cuts help create a playful scene at the bottom of the photo, almost like the characters are celebrating the memory captured in the picture. I also tucked in a few small flowers and hearts to soften the look and add more pops of colour.

My title, “Lucky Charm”, sits right underneath the photo and acts as the focal point of the page. I love how the bright yellow letters pop against the green and white layers. To add a bit more emotional storytelling of my 2 sons in the black and white photo, I included the small phrase sticker Lucky & Blessed above the photo.

The Lucky Me Collection from Doodlebug Design Inc is perfect for documenting St. Patrick’s Day memories, lucky moments, or even everyday photos that deserve a cheerful touch. The combination of cute characters, vibrant patterns, and sweet sentiments makes it incredibly easy to build layered, story-filled pages.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope this layout inspires you to pull out your Lucky Me Collection and create something bright, happy, and full of charm.

Happy creating!

Mountain Adventure | Bramble Fox

Hi creative friends,

Fresh air, open trails, and those simple outdoor moments worth remembering are captured in this fun, outdoorsy layout. This page came together so naturally thanks to the Mountain Adventure perspextive title and the adorable outdoor embellishments from the Outdoor Elements pack —perfect for documenting a peaceful walk in nature.

My layout began with the gorgeous scenic background paper filled with tiny tents, lakes, trees, and wildlife—an illustrated map of adventure that instantly sets the tone. The playful forest icons in the upper half create a lively backdrop while leaving plenty of white space below for the photo and story to shine.

One of the stars of my layout is the Mountain Adventure perspextive title. The layered mountain silhouette tucked behind the word adds depth and brings the outdoor theme to life. It instantly draws the eye and creates a strong focal point. Another of the stars is the cute fox die-cut on the right hand side of the photo. Adding the wooden fox from the Outdoor Elements pack looks super cute tucked in to the die-cut fox. All of the pieces on the layout work together to guide the viewer’s eye across the page while adding texture and visual interest.

To anchor the layout, I added a scalloped border and a grassy strip across the bottom, enhancing the earthy feel. A small banner with the date adds context, and the phrase “Going For a Walk” helps tie everything together.

I kept the design airy and balanced—lots of white space below the main cluster allowing the photo and perspextives to be the heroes, while the busy patterned paper at the top creates a storytelling backdrop without overwhelming the composition.

If you're working on any nature or adventure-themed pages, I can’t recommend the Mountain Adventure perspextive title and Outdoor Elements pack enough. They bring the perfect mix of charm and boldness to any layout.

Happy creating!

Chasing Summer | Sunkissed collection | Pretty Little Studio

 Hi creative friends,

Today I am excited to share a summery layout with you using the gorgeous Sunkissed collection by Pretty Little Studio. This layout brings together everything I love about summer scrapbooking—rainbows, kites, florals, and soft clouds layered in a way that feels light, breezy, and full of movement. The mix of patterns and die‑cuts adds depth without overwhelming the photo, letting the bright striped outfit and lush green background shine through.

Each embellishment works like a little chapter in the story:

Clouds and hearts soften the page and add a dreamy feel. Kite and rainbow motifs echo the playful energy of childhood. Sentiments like “Summer Vibes,” “Smile,” and “Chasing Summer” reinforce the carefree theme. The date tab grounds the memory in time, making the layout both beautiful and meaningful. The arrangement draws your eye straight to the photo, then gently guides you around the page to take in all the details.

There’s something magical about a layout that instantly transports you into the warmth and colour of summer, and this page created with the Sunkissed collection does exactly that. Bursting with vibrant hues, playful icons, and a carefree mood, it perfectly frames a sweet outdoor moment and turns it into a keepsake full of sunshine.

The cut file I have used is from Bramble Fox and I backed that cut file with papers and embellishments from Sunkissed. I popped up some of the elements using craft foam to create shadows and dimension.

What makes this design stand out is how effortlessly it blends creativity with emotion. The colours radiate happiness, the embellishments feel thoughtfully placed, and the overall composition captures the essence of long, sunny days and simple joys.
This layout is a perfect example of how the Sunkissed collection can elevate a single everyday moment into something truly special—bright, heartfelt, and full of life.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you are inspired to create some colourful projects with the Sunkissed collection

Happy creating!

Lucky Me | Lucky Me collection | Doodlebug Design Inc

Hi creative friends!

Do you love bright and happy projects? Well look no further, today's layout is bursting with rainbows, hearts, shamrocks, and that signature Doodlebug charm! The new Lucky Me collection from Doodlebug Design was the perfect match for a photo I absolutely treasure of my two sons.

The first thing that inspired this page was the playful mix of patterns in the collection. From happy hearts to charming clovers, every piece feels like a celebration of joy and gratitude. I started with a clean white background so the colours could really shine, then framed the page with the rainbow‑striped patterned paper for that quintessential Doodlebug pop. To create the large clovers, I took my heart dies and the papers from the 6' x 8' paper pad and assembled 3 lots of 4 leaf clovers using foam tape under each heart for dimension.

For the stalks of the clovers, I used various scalloped border strip stickers from the This and That sticker sheet. The adorable sun icon peeking out from the side adds such a happy vibe, and I love how the super cute cloud Doodle Pop and mini icons bring everything together.

The title 'Lucky Me' comes straight from the collection and sits proudly above my photo. The bold lettering paired with the candy‑coloured palette makes it stand out beautifully. I added a small sentiment sticker just above the picture to pull in a heartfelt touch.
The photo nestles right among the whimsical mushrooms, birds, and greenery and instantly grounds the layout and creates a darling little scene right at the bottom.

No Doodlebug project is complete without a sprinkle of finishing touches. I added tiny florals, heart sprinkles, and a couple of sentiment tabs like “My Lucky Charm” and “Blessed” to complete the storytelling. These little pops of colour add so much personality without overwhelming the design.

This layout came together so effortlessly thanks to the bright, happy pieces in the Lucky Me collection. It’s the perfect mix of playful and heartwarming, and it truly captures how grateful I feel for the moment in my photo.

If you're looking for a collection that radiates positivity, works for everyday memories, St. Patrick’s Day projects, and everything in between—this one is pure magic!

Happy creating!

Home Grown Happiness | Bramble Fox

 Hi creative friends!

My latest scrapbook layout is all about celebrating the simple, soul-soothing joys of home—those quiet, cherished moments that make your heart feel full. And right at the heart of it? The gorgeous Home Grown Happiness perspextive title from the March Fox Box at Bramble Fox!

This layout was inspired by my friend Michelle Stokes and with her permission I created a whimsical village scene with rows of adorable houses lining the top and bottom borders like a storybook neighbourhood. Pastel pinks, blues, yellows, and greens pop against the clean white background, dotted with sweet details including acrylic houses and fussy cut ones from Paper Snips #88. Two treasured photos—one of a peaceful rural home under a blue sky, the other nestled among evergreens—anchor the page, capturing that "love this place" feeling perfectly.

Layered across the middle is the standout Home Grown Happiness perspextive title, playfully broken up with those cute duck family cut-aparts, the little dog, rabbit, and foliage accents add whimsy, while tiny bows, enamel hearts, and word snippets like "cherished memories," "sweet," and "love this place" weave in the storytelling magic.

I kept the layering soft and textured with subtle patterned strips, polka-dot borders, and hand-tied bows for that cozy, handmade touch. It's a reminder that happiness doesn't need grand adventures—sometimes it's grown right at home, in the places and people that feel like forever.

If you're craving that warm, nostalgic feel for your own pages (family farms, holiday homes, dream properties, or just everyday coziness), snag the March Fox Box (or Plus version for extra goodies like the stencil and Paper Snips #88) from Bramble Fox. These pieces are versatile magic—perfect for heritage, travel, or seasonal stories.

Tarrah's Tip: To make acrylic houses and cut-aparts pop even more, adhere them with foam adhesive squares at varying heights—watch your village skyline gain instant 3D charm and depth without any extra fuss!

Hello Winter | Snow Much Fun collection | Doodlebug Design Inc

Hi creative friends!

If you’re looking for a fun winter project that lets you build your own miniature world, combining the Snow Much Fun collection by Doodlebug Design Inc with a whimsical snowglobe cut file from Lori Whitlock, then look no further! This layout brings all the cozy, snowy magic of the season to life.

I started by cutting the snowglobe from several patterned papers in the collection. I chose the clear acetate for the “glass” portion and layered it with a bold purple frame to help the globe stand out against the white background. To add even more texture and movement, I filled the globe with tiny snowflake sprinkles. The result feels playful, sparkly, and full of winter cheer.

Inside the snowglobe, I created a miniature winter scene using the adorable houses, trees, and icon stickers from the Snow Much Fun collection. The mix of blues, purples, and fresh greens gives the layout a lively, modern winter palette.
Some of the houses and trees are popped up with foam adhesive for extra dimension—because who doesn’t love a little lift on a scrapbook page?

The photo sits neatly in the lower right section of the globe, tucked behind a few layered trees to keep the scene feeling cohesive. Beneath it, a “Hello Winter” sentiment banner ties the whole theme together.

And of course, no Doodlebug layout is complete without enamel shapes, sprinkles, and a sweet coordinating twine bow at the base of the snowglobe.

To ground the entire layout, I mounted the snowglobe on white cardstock and then framed the page in a deep blue patterned paper base. The darker color adds contrast and beautifully frames the design, making the soft snowy elements inside the globe really shine.

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today! Hope you have enjoyed all the Snow Much Fun collection inspiration over the last few weeks!

Happy crafting!

XO XO XO | Various collections | Pretty Little Studio

 Hi creative friends!

Today I’m sharing a layout that celebrates love in the sweetest way, I was given the challenge of scraplifting a gorgeous Christmas themed layout by my fellow design team member on the Pretty Little Studio design team - the very talented Yvette Weber. I also had to make it love, heart or Valentine's themed. I had so much fun mixing and matching a variety of Pretty Little Studio collections including Sunny Memories, XOXO, Perfect Match, Sugar Plum, Christmas Joy, Sunkissed and Document Life to create this love themedplayful, heartfelt design.

Yvette Weber's gorgeous layout below........

The oversized “XO” letters were created in the Silhouette Studio software and cut out with my Silhouette Cameo machine, these are the star of this layout. I arranged them similar to Yvette's Ho Ho Ho title on her layout. By combining patterns from several Pretty Little Studio lines—think subtle script prints, dotted textures, and candy‑stripe pinks—I was able to create dimension and a beautiful rhythm across the page. The blend of patterns keeps everything visually interesting without overwhelming the design.

Clusters of hearts appear throughout the page, each one a different pattern or texture pulled from various collections. I love how Pretty Little Studio makes it easy to mix older favorites with newer releases—the colors always harmonize beautifully. These hearts help guide the eye from top to bottom while reinforcing the love theme.

I added a black‑and‑white photo to contrast against the soft pastels and bold pinks. Framing the photo with tags, labels, and hearts gave it a cozy, anchored feel. I especially love the small date detail that adds a hint of storytelling without taking attention away from the main design. To complete the layout, I hand drew a border with my black journal pen and added a few cross‑stitch stickers beneath the central “XO.” These little details add warmth and the handmade feel I love in scrapbook pages.

If you're ever unsure about mixing collections, layouts like this show just how seamlessly Pretty Little Studio products work together. The combination of large typographic elements, sweet embellishments, and layered textures makes this page one of my favorites.

Thanks for stopping by today!
