Then this layout titled using the awesome 'Summer Stories' perspextive title from the July Fox Box over at Bramble Fox is sure to help you with that! Along with the cool title, I also used one of the woodie pieces and added lots of fussy cut pieces from Paper Snips #95 also included in the July Fox Box, I love how this page is bursting with beachy charm and layered storytelling!
At the heart of the layout sits a photo filled with seaside adventure—positioned within a cluster of layered hexagon shapes that draw the eye straight to the moment. The geometric layering adds dimension and creates a contemporary feel, while still keeping the overall look light and playful. Everything is adhered to a Kraft cardstock background that is lightly distressed and cut down to reveal white cardstock underneath.
Surrounding the photo, a mix of patterned papers and die-cut shapes in varied shades of blue evoke the cool tones of the ocean. The hexagons are thoughtfully stacked and distressed, giving that slightly rustic, textured edge that works beautifully against the neutral background.
The Paper Snips #95 designs shine here, adding just the right mix of patterns and imagery—from subtle stripes to beach-inspired prints—perfectly enhancing the coastal theme.
The embellishments are where this layout really comes to life:
A bold lighthouse element popped up using craft foam anchors the left side, bringing in a classic seaside motif
Layered signpost also popped up with craft foam, featuring words like “Beach,” “Sand & Surf,” “Ice Cream,” “Swimming,” and “Relax” guide the story and add a playful touch
Gorgeous woodie embellishment bring in natural texture and a tactile quality
Scattered starfish and enamel dots add movement and pops of colour, tying everything together
These elements work in harmony to tell a story of sun, saltwater, and simple joys.
A small stamped date detail beneath the title anchors the memory in time—subtle yet meaningful. The torn-edge white border framing the page gives it a handcrafted finish and helps draw attention inward to the design.
