Are you dreaming of summer days filled with sunshine, water play, and carefree laughter? The layout I am sharing captures all of that happy energy perfectly. Using the Sunkissed and Bohemian Dream collections from Pretty Little Studio, I documented a fun-filled outdoor moment that was truly all about making a splash and enjoying the day.
The bright, playful colour palette instantly sets a sunny mood. Layers of pinks, yellows, teals, and aquas come together beautifully, echoing the warmth of summer and the cool relief of water play. I love how the patterned papers from both collections mix effortlessly—bold polka dots, subtle textures, and soft grids add interest without overwhelming the photo.
To draw attention to the photo, I built a layered frame using a mix of papers, tabs, and ephemera. This helps anchor the layout while still allowing plenty of white space for the design to breathe. The Sunkissed pieces bring that fresh, summery vibe with phrases like “sunny” and “make a splash,” while Bohemian Dream adds a touch of whimsy with dreamy colours, arrows, and layered details.
The title, “splash the day away,” became the perfect focal point. Combining bold typography with hand-drawn elements and arrows helps lead the eye around the page and adds movement—just like the water-filled fun in the photo. Little details like bows, scalloped borders, and labels finish off the layout and give it a playful, handcrafted feel.
