Summer Days | CUT to YOU

Hi everyone,

Today I am back with you to share a new design team for CUT to YOU featuring the awesome Summer Days cut file title and some of the cute elements from the Summer Page Builder cut file. My layout share today is inspired by CSI challenge Case No. 322. CUT to YOU is one of the sponsors for the CSI challenges, so why not join in to be in the running to win free cut files?!

I started out by cutting the Summer Days title and the Summer page builder cut file all from white cardstock, I then backed them all with some of the pretty papers from the Sunny Days collection by Crate Paper. Once they were all backed, I added foam adhesive to the bottom of them all. I chose a super cute photo of my nieces in the pink Summer gear, it was perfect for this page as the CSI inspiration photo has lots of pink. I adhered my photo in the centre of the white cardstock background with some paper layers underneath. This then allowed me to work out where my title and cloud and sun elements were going to go.

One of the other inspirations I took from the CSI inspiration image were the pieces of fruit, I just had to include the pieces of chipboard fruit to the right of my photo. I think they look really cute there! I love to layer elements over the top of the cut files, as you can see in the detail photo below, I have added some stickers to the Summer Days title. In the detail photo above I added a phrase sticker to one of the clouds and a cute flair button to the centre of the sun.

On the left side of my photo, I added a phrase die-cut with a tag tucked in and some cherry chipboard pieces, I like how these balance with the citrus fruit on the right hand side. Below the title I added a title sticker, a smaller sticker and a heart sticker too. As you can see in the detail photo below, you can see how the title popped up on foam adhesive creates some shadows and gives dimension. I love how this looks on my page. Lastly I stamped the date stamp, I trimmed down the white cardstock background and adhered the cardstock to one of the blue and white stripe patterned papers from the Sunny Days collection.
