I took inspiration from the second page of the double layout.

Hi Scrappers!!!

Hope you are all surviving school holidays....only one more week left for us and they will be back!!! Luke is really looking forward to going back to school....he gets so bored being on holidays...we have kept him pretty busy but he really needs and loves the mental stimulation.

I have managed to get the My Minds Eye blog sketch #31 challenge done today,

the challenge this month was to use 80% MME products, the sketch and to use the theme 'New'.

I also entered this layout for the Get Picky January sketch #16 challenge. This is the sketch and you have to use multiple photos on your layout as well:

I just adore these photos that the beautiful Lynette van Barrelo took of me last year.

Just A Boy in the Summertime.....

Hi Scrappers and Bloggers!!!

Today I am back to share my Scrap the Boys layout for the January challenge. This months challenge was to scrap about your boy(s) and their favourite summer holiday pastime.

so even though Oliver isn't on holidays I took this photo the other down at the beach and wanted to scrap straight away so this was the perfect challenge for it.

He is so cute hey!! Biased much? LOL!!!

I am so loving Purple Pumpkin embellishments at the moment so I had to add the spotty yellow button to my sun :) The piranha button above is also a PP one, how cute is it?!! I thought it went well with this layout!!

Hello fellow scrappin girls....today I am sharing my layout for the Get Picky Inspiration #15 challenge

This month was to scrap a multi photo layout and some future aspirations for the coming year or just in general.

I have scrapped a photo that I just adore, it was taken by the beautiful Lynette Van Barrelo at Camp Mojo 2011, I have aspired to Be Happy...not that I'm not just to be the happiest I can be without stressing and sweating on the little things. Enjoy life more......

Hello all!!! I thought I had better share my White With 1 and Scrap The Boys layouts with you before the deadline is here!!!

The first one is for White With 1 to use White + Christmas Photo + Christmas Themed

I went with a slightly vintage feel to this layout as I was inspired by the look of the Making Memories Christmas collection.

Next up is the Scrap The Boys challenge to use this colour palette:

I just love Purple Pumpkin handmade embellishments so I just had to include them on this layout......aren't the Christmas holly and the bauble cute with the buttons? I love how they look.

WOOT ANOTHER HONOURABLE MENTION!!!!!!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! I hope 2012 is good to you all and everything you hoped and wished for.

**WARNING** this is quite a long post!!!!!

Just before Christmas I received some SUPER HAPPY MAIL in the post, I received an HONOURABLE MENTION in this years Scrapbooking Memories Masters Magazine competition!!!!! I did also receive one last year too so its always nice to know that I have kept up a bit of a standard hehe!!

So anyway here is the layout that won me a HM!!

I was so excited to receive my complimentary magazine with my HM inside!!!

Here are all my other unsuccessful entries:

This one is the sketch, I rotated it 90 degrees anti-clockwise.

I really like pink and orange together at the moment!!

This one is the hidden journaling one.

I hid the journaling behind the heart with wings...

The double by far was my favourite layout of all 4 entries even though I found it the hardest to create, I loved how it turned out!!

I just had to add a cute little cocktail umbrella for the surf theme!!

I really liked all the little bits and pieces I added to this layout!!

I also have the cool new challenge over at Kraft It Up to share with you. This month is a colour challenge to use one or all of these colours and to of course back in on Kraft Cardstock or Kraft Patterned Paper:

This month, like a lot of us, I am not going to get as many challenges done as I would like too, I will try with every effort but it is the silly season as they say and so much is happening.

I did manage to create a layout for the new word TIME over at Bird Is the Word which I am very happy with. I used to do lots of the shabby chic type layouts but tend to sway more to doing more grungy boyish layouts instead these days.

So here is the layout I created....

For some reason I like this photo of myself taken by yours truly one day so it pops up on layouts a lot lately!!

Christmas Cutie

I was so inspired on the Basic Grey blog today with Leeann Pearce's AMAZING layout that I just had to join in and create a project. Go on over to the BG blog and check out what Leeann has created...beautiful layout, I LOVE it!!!

The challenge for the week is to use a punch on a layout, card or off the page project. What a top challenge, I am sure we can all vouch for having at least 1 punch in our stashes LOL!!!!!

I have SO many rather OLD BG papers so it was great to use some up and to do a Christmas layout for a change as well. I ADORE the Old but gorgeous Eskimo Kisses range, I punched out 1 inch circles from the paper and made the handmade flower.

Sorry the photo of the layout isn't the best, rather gloomy here today and meant to rain all week so don't think I will have much luck getting a better shot.

Hi again all,

Well I have heaps to share with you today. 4 layouts in fact!!!!!

First up I will share a layout using one of my all time favourite pieces of paper. This layout is a 'just cause' layout and I am happy with how it turned out.

Isn't that G45 Tinman paper To Die For?!!!! I LOVE it!!!!!

Next up I decided to join in over at the Jillibean Soup blog for the sketch challenge for November. You have to interpret the sketch and to of course use Jillibean Soup products.

A little detail. I used some OLD October Afternoon stickers on my layout as well.

This is the layout I created for palette #84. Not my usual colours to work with but I am trying to mix it up a bit lately :))))) I love the church we were married in and felt instantly inspired to use this photo for this palette.

I've had these chippie gates for AGES now and what a perfect way to use them!!!

This next one is for the colour/inspiration challenge over on the Crate Paper blog. The colours to use were Orange, Pink and Blue and this was the inspiration wire:

I am on a roll at the moment with some challenges and seem to be joining in all of them.

I haven't joined in at Bird is the Word for ages so I thought I would join in this month and the 'word' for this month is ADORE.

This is what I came up with, I think this layout is one of my all time favourites, if I do say so myself!!!

So Vain and Milk Moustache

Back again with two layouts to share that are 'just because' layouts

. First up is 'Milk Moustache' when I bought the Hambly moustache overlay, I had this exact photo in mind to scrap. I have teamed it with some Kaszazz distressed paper and made my own little moustache pin!!!

I also added some chipboard scrolls that are supposed to resemble a moustache too.......

Next up I just had to scrap this photo of Luke, he grabbed the camera from me and took some selfie photos and how cool did the photo turn out!!! Budding little photographer I have on my hands!!!! I have journalled about how he is always looking in the mirror and how vain he is!!!!

Get Picky #13 and Scrap the Girls November 2011

Hello everyone!!!

Sorry it has been a little while since I have blogged, I have been doing some scrapping but have just been a bit slack on blogging!!!

I am amazed that its only the 2nd of November and I have done 2 challenges already, they are also ones that I don't join in for all that often either but I felt inspired to get them done!!!

First up is Scrap the Girls....this month the challenge is to scrap about girls (of course) use multiple photos, have dominant pink and use polka dots!!!!

This is what I came up with, I have used the same photo twice and LOTS of polka dots!!!!

I have had this REALLY OLD Heidi Swapp mirror for so long so I decided to add it to this layout!!

Next up is the Get Picky October Inspiration challenge #13. This is the image to take inspiration from and you also have to add FABRIC to your layout as well, I just adore the colours in the image and whipped this layout in no time!!!!

Of course I took inspiration from the colours for my layout and my fabric is the muslin bow I have added to the layout.

Beyond the Door-October 2011

I recently discovered another challenge blog similar to The Color Room and Colour Combos Galore, this one is called Beyond the Door but you don't have to inspired by the colours if you don't want to be. You can take inspiration from basically anything in the room given.

This month is the Library so I have scrapped a memory I have wanted to for a while now. Luke adores his 'Santa Koala' book, so this suited this challenge to a 'T'!!!!!

Hello again bloggers!!! I am back again today to share with you 2 layouts that I have created. This first layout is for the sketch challenge over at Show Us Your Stuff this month and as the sketches were a little similar I have also combined this same layout for the monthly sketch challenge over at Anna's

I have to say I wasn't really inspired by the colours at first but then I started digging deeper into my stash and found a few things to go with the palette. I am not totally in love with this layout either but still its another photo scrapped and memory captured. LOL!!!

I think I have worked out that I try so hard to stick to the EXACT colours if I can that I just lose the total look of how I wanted the layout to end up. Will have to work on that one hehe!!!

White With 1 October 2011

Ahhhh I am having a nice relaxing time at my parents for the weekend at the moment. So nice to come up here and just chill out for a bit while my parents spend time with the boys. Gives me a great chance to get some scrapping done!!!

So I have played along again this month at White With 1 and this month the challenge is to use White + Black and Paint/Mists and this is what I have done. Not my usual style but I love how this layout turned out if I do say so myself!!! LOL!!!!

Get Picky and #78 at The Color Room October 2011

I am on a roll!!!! 2 posts in the one day!!!! Been scrapping up a storm today and its doing just that here right now, storming that is hehe!!! Lots of rain, thunder, lightning, you name it we have had it just about!!! Perfect weather to scrap I say!!!!

This time I am back to share with you a layout that I created for the challenge over at Get Picky for the start of October. The challenge is to use the word 'Celebrate' or 'Celebration' in your title or journalling or to scrap about a celebration like Christmas and to of course use multiple photos as well.

I also teamed up this same layout for this weeks Colour Palette #78 over at The Color Room

Aren't the colours just beautiful? I like them anyway, I didn't stick to the colours all that well but I am happy with how my layout turned out!!!!!

Kraft It Up October 2011

Back again with the awesome October challenge for Kraft It Up........this month is to use ONE of these three styles for your creation all on Kraft cardstock or Kraft patterned paper too of course!!!!

The 3 styles to choose from are:

Minimalist

Monochromatic

Vintage/Shabby Chic/Romantic

I chose to do monochromatic for this challenge and this is my layout..I just love yellow at the moment!!

I had a go at making my own handmade gingham button too!!!

So today I can actually say that I did a layout that is a just cause layout. I got some GORGEOUS new Kaszazz products that I was dying to use.....here is the layout that I created:

Well what a miserable day we have here today......so wet, windy, cold and stormy. Thank goodness we don't have to go anywhere today!!! Great day for staying in and getting my scrap on me thinks!!!

Today I have a Scrap The Girls layout to share with you. I am not sure that I have ever joined in over there as I don't have any girl kiddies but I want to try and do a few more girlie layouts as I do have a sister and a Mum and myself I could scrap!!!

So the challenge for this month is to use clips on your layout. It could be bulldog clips, paper clips etc so here is what I came up with......this is a layout of my gorgeous sister who has been living in London this past year and I miss her like crazy!!!!

Scrapmatts September 2011 Challenge

Hello again lovelies!!!!

So great to back again sharing another layout!! I am loving playing over at Scrapmatts each month at the moment. The challenges are awesome and there is a chance to win a $25 gift voucher to spend on........yep you guessed it Scrapmatts chipboard!!!! Who wouldn't want to win that? I ADORE Scrapmatts chipboard!!

So this month the challenge is to pick a layout from the amazing gallery of layouts and choose just one to 'scraplift'...now I found it VERY hard to pick a layout....there are SO MANY gorgeous ones to choose from but I finally settled on the gorgeous Ebony Van der Starre's layout 'Live the Life' on Page 11 in the Scrapmatts gallery.

Back again.....hope everyone is well!!! I have my Scrap the Boys layout to share with you today!! This month was to include household/family ephemera on your layout. Things like, clothes tags, toy packaging....you get the idea!!! I have had these photos of Dad and Luke for sooo long and also knew I had some NRL clothes tags as well so this was the perfect opportunity to get this one done.

Sorry there are no close ups today....my camera battery went flat just after taking this one!!!

For a change I have been on a roll with my scrapping!!! Usually I am busting my boiler to get some challenges done by the end of the month but this month I seem to be a bit more organised!!!

Today I have my White With 1 layout to share with you. This month's challenge was to use white of course, pale pink and to journal on your photo.

Here is what I came up with...just loving that Hambly Silhouette Overlay, one of my fave things to use at the moment they is!!!!

Also loving my raw chipboard at the moment, I think a few of the gorgeous Kim Jeffress ideas are starting to haunt me. Just adore her work x

Kraft It Up September 2011

Hi again all, I forgot to share with you my example layout for this months Kraft It Up challenge. This month is to use fabric and stitching on your layout and to of course use Kraft cardstock or patterned paper.

So here is what I came up with:

I have used some Echo Park red Christmas paper, A Lil' Somethin embellies (LOVE these) and I handmade the felt and denim flower......

and I have used my favourite product for the moment.....Mister Huey's mist..........LOVE LOVE this stuff, I have the white in it!!

Scrapmatts August Challenge

Hi all, I am back again today cause I have actually scrapped again!!! Woooooo!!!!

This time I have joined in over at Scrap The Boys for August, an inspiration picture is the challenge for this month and I just LOVE it.

Its just calling out to use some yummy A Lil' Somethin' goodies on this layout so I did just that and here it is:

The lovely Kim Jeffress had the VERY cool Fiskars cloud punches at Camp Mojo and I thought to myself I will have to get me those I think. I knew I would use them all the time and yep I have used them already!!! Punched some out using some corrugated cardboard!!!

Kraft It Up August 2011

Hello again!!!!

Today I am back with the very cool Kraft It Up challenge for August.

This month is to be inspired by this sketch and to use Kraft (as always)

Here is my take.... I have to be honest and say I'm not 100% pleased with this layout, it was done in a bit of a rush to meet the deadline. I decided to splat some red mist everywhere but then it looked like the layout had the measles LOL so I swiped some white paint over it to tone it down!!!! I guess the memory is there anyway even though not my best work.

I used a foam dot backing as a mask here and don't
you just love the Chip Chop shop chippie sun and cloud? Too cute!!

Camp Mojo Goodness!!!!

I have yet again been very slack with blogging but I have HEAPS of layouts to share now since going to Camp Mojo!!! Let me tell you I had such a great time, I was so delighted to meet Deb Godley and Maree Warren who are now good friends of mine. Boy did we have some laughs!!! Of course I loved sitting next to and sharing a room with Kim Jeffress

I managed quite a few layouts in between the laughing, eating, drinking and general shenanigans!!!

My favourite from the weekend of Oliver, look at those eyes.......

Now in no particular order....this one was a challenge set at Camp Mojo to use the colours, orange, teal brown and white.

Have been eyeing off the Tim Holtz film strip for ages now, I finally got me some!!

I have had this photo of Luke printed for ages but was a little stuck for ideas especially for the title but while I was at Camp Mojo it all just came to me!!!!! Thank you to lovely Kim for giving me a 6 x6 Coredinations cardstock pack!!!

and for the lend of her cool cloud punches!!!!

This was the great class we did with Sherry Mendoza, we used texture paste on the chippie frame and heat gunned it to make it bubble, then glimmermisted and attached to the canvas!!

Here is that same photo of Oliver from earlier only this time in Sepia.

This one below was for another challenge to have a painted background. I slapped this layout together really quickly and was lucky enough to get 2nd for it!!!!!! I took inspiration from the little owl button by using the colours it has in it.

Loving my Dymo labeller at the moment!!!

The only layout I did of me all weekend. Sherry was handing out the Teresa Collins silhouette paper for free so I jumped up and grabbed a sheet, I really like silhouettes at the moment!!! It was a little bit too bright by itself so I popped a Hambly overlay on top and now it looks better!!! The girls all made me put this one in for the 'Shiny Things' challenge at Camp Mojo but I didn't win.

Phew, hope I didn't bore you all too much with all that. At the moment I am working on my Masters entries and I am running out of time fast so I had better get back to it!!! Bad Blogger but some Exciting News to share!!!

Well hello there strangers!!! Wow where do I start? I know I have been a bad blogger but I have had so much happening lately and absolutely no time to scrap or blog. I have barely had time to even scratch myself LOL!!! We have moved house (hence also no internet for about a month), had a Christening for Oliver who is now 7 months and Oh so adorable :) and hubby and Luke are just about to leave on an adventure up to Cape York!!!! Amongst all this I am off to Camp Mojo in 5 more sleeps, yes that's right 5 more sleeps I can hardly wait I am SOOOO excited!! Speaking of excited.........................................................

You might remember in my last post that I received some very exciting news on my birthday?

Well I can now tell all. I am on the KRAFT IT UP team!!!! Woohoo!!! I am so shocked to have been chosen amongst the many people who applied to be on the team!! I am so excited though, I just love this challenge blog and feel very honored to be amongst these awesomely talented girls.

The challenge over at KIU for July is to take inspiration from the cupcake picture down a bit further.

Here is my take on the challenge, I took inspiration from the colours and the cupcakes-I used paper cupcake holders on my layout.

Hi everyone!! Today is my birthday!!! I received some exciting news this morning......but I can't share just yet LOL!!! :( It was such a nice email to receive on my birthday!! I should be able to share in the next few days though so stay tuned!!!

This one is for second challenge for the month over at Black With 2 This time it was to use a black background, the colour red only and recycled alphas. Now I am not really sure what was meant by recycled alphas so I have just used some alphas LOL!!! Hope that was OK LOL!!!

Back again with a layout to share that I have used for 2 challenges again (I know I am slack LOL!!!) Over at Get Picky for the second challenge of the month they have this sketch below to take inspiration from, you also have to use multiple photos as an added criteria. I have also based my layout on the criteria over at Show Us Your Stuff for this month as well. This time it was to use trims, ribbon and lace and of course something handmade. So I have used ribbon and lace and my handmade items are the gingham button and the straw flower.

Little Scrapbook Shop 4-7-11

Hi everyone. Hope you are all having a fab weekend. The weather here today has been beautiful, I actually got out and weeded my garden for a change. I don't think I have done any gardening for nearly a year which is very sad I know LOL!!!! Maybe this layout I did last night inspired me to be like my Mum and son and get out in the garden!!!!

The 2 layouts here are for the 4-7-11 challenges going on over at Little Scrapbook Shop at the moment. This time around its the Deadly Sins. Week 2 was 'Envy' and so we were given permission to scraplift someone's layout from the gallery. So I chose the very lovely and very talented Lauren Bell with her layout 'Safe in Daddy's Arms' Here is the direct link to her beautiful layout in the gallery.

I flipped mine over as it suited my photos and colours better.

This next one is for Week 1 and the theme was 'Anger' This time the challenge was to use the colour red somewhere, distressing and to scrap about something that makes you angry but also laugh at the same time. It took me a little while to figure what to scrap about so I chose to do it about how Luke and how when talks he says Uumm.... SO many times during the conversation....especially if he is trying to tell you something really quickly....its very frustrating but also funny for me at the same time.

Kraft It Up May 2011

Hello again!!!! Hope everyone is well and not getting too cold LOL!!!! I am back again with this months Kraft It Up challenge. This month was to use absolutely NO PATTERNED PAPER at all!!! Now that is quite a feat for me as I just LURRVVVEEEE my paper LOL!!! Anyway I managed to get something done and I think I have used everything but patterned paper on my layout.

So here is what I have used: photo corner, transparency, chipboard, ribbon, filmstrip, journal spots, felt embelly, pin, doily, metal charm, pearls, stickers, glimmermist and Thickers!!! Phew!!!! Thats a lot of different stuff!!!

Now I have created a layout of gorgeous little Oliver at 4 and 1/2 months old. Can you believe he is that already? Time has gone WAY too quick.

Scrap the Boys May 2011

Hello, hello again!!! Hope you are all having a nice Sunday!!!! I sure am, the sun is SOOO warm today, beautiful out of that nasty, icy wind. I started on this months Scrap the Boys challenge yesterday afternoon and finished it off this morning. This month it was to scrap a collection your son or hubby might have. I immediately knew that I wanted to do Luke's Monster Truck collection. He is obsessed with all things Monster Truck and has quite a collection now!! LOL!!! Even Oliver is getting in on the act when in the bath, he grabs at them to put in his mouth hehe!!!!

So here is what I have done, I have used a large Scrapmatts chippie cog as a mask and misted in red. Also added some of the black Scrapmatts cogs.

I used up some old Thickers, I have soooo many I need to get in and use them up hehe!!!!

Used some left over BG 'Oliver' range of papers and stickers and a few Heidi Swapp transparent pieces. The cute little bottle cap is from Marg's Bits and Pieces Marg has some gorgeous handmade enmbellies!!!

Two posts in one day...I am on a roll!!! I guess thats what Mothers Day is for, for us Mum's to do what we choose hehe!!!! I have had a nice day enjoying my gorgeous boys, a nice lunch and the weather has been beautiful here over the weekend too.

I managed to get the White With 1 challenge done today and this month it is to use

Once Upon a Sketch and Get Picky May 2011

Happy Mothers Day lovely blogging girls!!! I hope you all have a lovely day and get totally spoilt!!!

I have a layout to share with you today that I am using to enter in two challenges this month. First up I joined in at Get Picky this month and the challenge was to take inspiration from the picture here and to use the below colour combination also.

Then low and behold I just happened to have a peak of what the challenge is over at Once Upon a Sketch

and couldn't believe it when this same layout met the criteria for this too. I have my journaling on a journal spot tucked in behind my photo as hidden journaling and unbeknowns I have also designed my layout very similar to the sketch as well so I thought what the heck and entered in both!!!! Of course I checked to make sure this was allowed and I am pretty sure I am allowed to (I know at same sites you aren't allowed to combine challenge entries so I thought I had better check)

This is the awesome sketch by Nadia Cannizzo(one very talented lady) for Once Upon a Sketch

I LOVE yellow blue and white at the moment and I took inspiration from the dark background of the Get Picky picture and I have also got my journaling on a journal spot as the criteria for Once Upon a Sketch.

3rd Place at The Sydney Royal Easter Show 2011!!!

So excited!!! I thought I would share with you all today my exciting news that I received 3rd place at the Sydney Royal Easter Show this year for scrapbooking!!!

I decided to enter this year for the first ever time and couldn't believe it when I received 3rd place!!!

The criteria was to do a double layout, include photos, a title, journaling and at least one technique like stamping or whatever.

So here is my layout with the ribbon underneath it !!!!!

Show Us Your Stuff April 15th 2011

Over at Show Us Your Stuff the second challenge for the month of April was to use buttons, as many or as few as you liked, big, small, whatever!! Also include a handmade item as well.

So I have scrapped a professional photo of Luke at just 8 months old. I have heaps of these photos to scrap so I thought I had better get on to them!!!

I have used lots of different sized buttons and a cute little chippie digger.....

and I have had a go at covering my own buttons. My Mum gave me a heap of fabric so I thought since its all the rage I would give it a go, so its the red gingham one you can see here.

I have also put in an application for the CT call at Show Us Your Stuff too so wish me luck!!! I would LOVE to be a part of their AWESOME team!!!1

Hi everyone!! Just thought I would pop on today and show you a couple of sneaks of some classes I will be teaching coming up in May at Pages 2 Scrap .

The first one I am teaching is a cute little mini album/bag just in time for Mother's Day, using the all new Echo Park 'For the Record' range. This class is the day before Mothers Day, so what a perfect opportunity to come along and make your Mum something special for her to keep for herself or you can always keep it for you or someone else ;) This was so much fun to make......my Mum is going to LOVE it!!!!

This class is perfect for all those photos of your kids pulling 'silly faces' whether you have girls or boys it will suit either!!! I love doing pages that suit either a boy or girl, very versatile!!!

Scrap The Boys April 2011

I have joined in over at Scrap The Boys again this month. Love the challenges they put up. This time its to take inspiration from an outfit your boy/hubby is wearing. You could take inspiration from the colours, the textures, the patterns etc. So here is what I have done, I love this jumper that Luke is wearing, he got so much wear out of it!!! I have used the colours as inspiration and have used colours that match his jumper on my layout. I also wanted to add the rustic effect of the drum he is leaning so I used some Tim Holtz Distress Ink.

These cogs are so awesome, got them from Scrapmatts...

I used the white Swiss Dot Cardstock so that it highlighted once I used the Distress Ink.

Sorry I have been a bit slack, had so much on and not a great deal of time for scrappin. Anyway I have managed to do the White With 1 challenge today and this month the challenge is to use White, Olive Green and Twine on your layout. So this is what I have come up with. One of my fave photos of Luke at only 9 months old. He loved to get out and about in the backyard.

My First Teaching Class at Pages 2 Scrap

Since its only a week away till my first ever teaching gig, I thought I had better post a little about what I will be teaching and also give you a sneak as well. So in this fun class, I will be teaching how to make pinwheels from patterned paper. You will be creating a bright and happy single page layout with heaps of fun thrown in too. LOL!!

Week 7 was The Empire State Building and we were asked to just scrap about a building. Quite an easy one this week. So I chose to scrap about my parents beautiful house on their property in Scone, NSW.

Scrap the Boys March 2011

Wow what a miserable day here today, we so need the rain though so its lovely. A perfect day for staying in and scrapping I say!!!

I have another layout to share once again and I also have some exciting news as well.

First with the news.......I am going to be teaching scrapbooking classes at my local Scrapbook store......Pages 2 Scrap!!! I am very excited to be teaching there and want to thank Tracey, Phil and the girls for having me join the team!! So if you live in the area, pop in and say Hi. This is what I came up with, I have scrapped in the 8.5 x 11 size again!! My two cherubs laying on the floor together. They share such a great bond already....lets hope it stays!!! LOL

I have another layout to share yet again LOL!! I joined in again at Show Us Your Stuff this month and the challenge for the month is to scrap about something you can't live without and of course include something handmade. I had many ideas like my scrapping, Pepsi Max, computer etc but I already had this photo printed of my two cherubs so I decided I would scrap about them once again!!!

This is what I came up with...my handmade item is the red straw flower made by Sandie.

Hi all, hope everyone is getting their scrap on!!! I have been a little bit which is making me pretty happy!!!

I have joined in over at Let's Get Shabby this month as they have a great challenge to use denim and lace on a layout.

This is what I have come up with. I have used some old Sass Lass paper that I have had for yonks!!!! Little bit of Graphic 45 and a book page too. Did youhappen to notice the size change too? I have done another 8.5 x 11 page!! I quite like this size for a bit of a change.

Week 5 at the Little Scrapbook Shop for the Wonders challenge is the Northern Lights. Nic set a challenge to use green somewhere, no flowers anywhere and at least one insect or animal.

Hi there all, I have had some fun joining in at the Little Scrapbook Shop's March Cybercrop. The theme for this month is Earth Hour.

Lauren Bell set a great challenge to take inspiration from this image and to also add a nature item like sticks, leaves etc..

So this is what I have come up with. I have scrapped about Luke always helping my Mum in the garden whenever we visit the farm.

Hi blogging friends!!! Back again with some more to share with you.

White With 1 have a challenge for March to use White (of course) Bright pink and an Artisan shape which is the shaped frame over my photo. Here is what I came up with this month!

My sister left to live in London at the end of last year even before I had Oliver!! As she said though if she waited till I had him she would never have gone so she is staying there for 1 year and I miss her heaps!!!!

I thought the little chippie telephone was appropriate!!

Over at Little Scrapbook Shop for the Wonders challenge this week is the Hagia Sophia which is one of the 7 Ancient Wonders of the world. So the challenge this week was to use a mosaic effect on a layout or card or OTP. I also added some gold elements which was one part of the criteria of the challenge too.

Little Scrapbook Shop Week 3

Hi again all!! I am back again with another layout to share. This one is for the challenge for Week 3 of the 7 Wonders at The Little Scrapbook Shop. This week is The Statue of Zeus, you have to scrap about someone's life changing and also include some metal on your page as well. This is what I have come up with.

I have scrapped about Luke and his life changing as he heads off to big school for the first time. I have used some Echo Park, Sassafras Lass and some October Afternoon papers.

Little Scrapbook Shop 4-7-11

Hi again girls. Over at Little Scrapbook Shop they have a challenge going all year called 4-7-11. Basically its 4 sessions of challenges, with 7 designers all wrapped in 2011. To read more about it, check my sidebar or go on over to the website and join in the fun ;)

Session 1 is all about the 7 Wonders of the World.

Week 2 was to take inspiration from a gorgeous picture of another Wonder of the world, our very own-Great Barrier Reef.

You had to include, cardstock, 4 different patterned papers, paint and a journal spot.

Here is my layout of Luke at 9 months crawling around outside on the grass, I took inspiration from the colours in the photo, orange, blue, black and a little bit of green.

First up was the Pyramids so the challenge was to make a pyramid album. I did mine about Luke's 1st Birthday. Here is my take:

Hello again all, I am trying to get into a bit more scrapping so hopefully that means I will be blogging more often as well!! I have joined in over at Get Picky again this month. I loved the look of the sketch and knew straight away what photos I was going to use. I have had these photos for a while now even cropped in that size so they suit this sketch well. I have used some OA and Echo Park papers and stickers plus a few Doodlebug Design Inc 'Cute Cuts'.

Kraft It Up February

I love joining in at Kraft It Up and this month the challenge is to use Kraft cardstock and the below colour palette on a layout.

Here is my take, I have used a bit of My Mind's Eye and OA papers, a Hambly frame, some yummy Chip Chop Shop embellies. The layout is of Luke and I at the Gosford carnival in January 2010. We had fun on some of the rides together.

White With 1 February

Hi everyone, had a busy week this week. I am slowly easing my way back to work so it means lots of organisation. I think it will be good for me to do just a few hours a week to help out and take the load off a little bit.

I have a new layout to share, I joined in again at White With 1 this month and this time the criteria is to use white + brown + a vintage item(s) on your layout. I have scrapped a photo of myself and the wonderfully talented and lovely Kim Jeffress I met her last year when I went to Queensland. We had such a fun day scrapping with Lisa Webb and Taryn Stark as well. Go check out all their blogs, they are such talented and lovely ladies.

So my vintage items are the pewter button and the white lace.

Some detail, I stuck the title to some white cardstock to help it stand out a bit more.

Some more detail, I used a Dusty Attic chippy piece that I love.

I also thought I would share with you a piccie of my biggest boy all ready for his first day of school. He looks way too grown up :( He is loving school though which is great.

Also thought I would show you all gorgeous little Oliver giving Daddy the biggest smiles ever. Too cute!! He is nearly 10 weeks now and getting big. He is such a great baby.

Over at Show Us Your Stuff they have a great challenge for the Love month-February-to create a project about Love and to include a handmade heart somewhere. Lucky I had the perfect photo and moment to scrap!! Only just last week we were Skyping to my Mum and Luke was sending all sorts of Emoticons to her. He then turned around and came out with, "You are the sweetest thing I ever loved"!!! Mum and I both cried, it was so beautiful. So here is my layout and my handmade heart is the two felt ones with the tiny ribbon attached.

Oliver has been such a great baby that I have been able to scrap a fair bit without feeling too tired so I am one happy Mumma!!!! Today I have managed two layouts, 1 double and 1 single!!! Its my first time joining in over at Stuck Sketches as well this month. I got all inspired to do an 8.5 x 11 layout!! I don't do 8.5 x 11 layouts at all but since the sketch is that orientation I thought I would give it a go. Here is the sketch:

And here is my take on the sketch. I have scrapped one of Oliver's first photos from the hospital. He still looks all scrunched up bless his heart!!! I still love the photo though hehe!!!!

Another challenge blog that I joined in this month is Get Picky I really liked the look of the sketch and I don't do double layouts very often but I enjoy them when I do, so here is the sketch for the month.

And here is the double layout that I did. I have used lots of different products on this one!! The background paper is REALLY OLD Reminisce paper, used Bella Bvd scarecrow and acorns, Echo Park stickers, OA stickers and some hessian just to name a few.

I am really enjoying joining in some of the challenge blogs lately! Over at Show Us Your Stuff they have their second challenge up for the month and it is to use something handmade (which is what the blog/challenge is about), misting, at least 4 patterned papers, stitching (hand, faux or machine)and buttons. This is what I have created, a layout about believing in myself. My handmade thing is the Chip Chop Shop doily and I have used Sass lass, The Girls Paperie, Basic Grey and Sei patterned papers. Also have buttons, misting and I have cheated and did faux stitching hehe!! I really enjoyed creating this layout as I don't get to do pink very often so it was a nice change to use and create something different.

I really want to try and use up some of my excess Websters Pages paper!!! I really have WAY TOO MUCH so I have done a 'just because' layout of a photo that is 4 years old now. Its of myself, hubby and Luke at 14 months old taken on Christmas Day 2006 at my inlaws.

Firstly, my heart goes out to all those affected by the horrendous floods that have inundated our wonderful country. Hang in there everyone, stay strong and keep smiling.

This is the first layout I have managed since getting home from Mum and Dad's! Mum took these great photos of Luke and Oliver while we were up there. I just love them. So I joined over at Show Us Your Stuff for their first challenge of January. The sketch is the challenge for the month and of course you have to include something handmade by yourself or someone else.

So here is my layout using those tops photos of my cute boys. My handmade things are the Chip Chop Shop doily and heart button and I have used a My Little Bit of Whimsy bird pin as well.

Over at Kraft It Up this month the challenge is to use Kraft and to do a Summer themed layout and to also use a Summer word in your title. I used a photo of Luke when on holidays in Coffs Harbour, he was only 12 months old and it was his first time in a pool. He loved every minute of it too!! I tried a little paper curling for this one too and I masked some clouds as well.

I admire Nicole Pomeroy's scrapping so much, she is so talented and I really love her style. When I saw a layout of hers on Facebook I just had to ask for her permission to lift it. Make sure you go over and check out her blog, there is some awesome stuff there!! So this is my interpretation of Nic's layout titled

'Max'. Mine is of Oliver of course. He is only 1 and a half weeks old here, doesn't he look so alert and so much older? It's too sad that they grow so quick, he is already a month old :( Last day at my parents today, back home tomorrow, hope I can keep up with the scrapping as much as I have up here hehe!!

Happy New Year to all my blogger girls!!! Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and enjoyed your New Year celebrations too. Lets hope we all have a fantastic year with lots of scrapping being done!!! Hehe!! At the moment I am enjoying a nice time up at my parents place in Scone with Luke and Oliver, I am even managing some scrapping too which is great!! I have two layouts to share.

This is the layout I have been working on for a while now. I just love this paper by My Minds Eye so what better way to use it for a layout of my gorgeous new little bubba boy. I have also used October Afternoon paper and some other bits and pieces.

Over at The Color Room this week they are up to palette number 39, The Sun Room. I had time to join in again this week and have come up with the layout below of Luke.

I did manage to kind of stick to the sketch too.

Of course the next layout I did was going to be of precious Oliver. What an angel he is. I did a fairly simple layout because I don't have a great deal of time to fiddle but I am happy with how it has turned out. This photo is one of his first photos.

I am working on another layout at the moment too but with all the Christmas festivities and getting organised etc it might be a while before its finished!!! Now that I have my copy of the latest Scrapbooking Memories Masters magazine, I can now share my entries for the Masters competition. Below is my double layout entry and when I opened up the magazine and had a flick through......I had received an HONOURABLE MENTION for my double......WOOOHOOOOO!!!!! EXCITED MUCH???!! I am stoked!!!!

This is my Beyond the Page entry. I decided to alter a pouch style handbag and make it Vintage Inspired. I have used Graphic 45 papers, some old gorgeous lace that I as given to me and all other bits and pieces.

Sorry about the back view...a little too bright with the photography!!!

This is my single layout entry. I scrapped about Luke with this funny clown we met at the Scone Horse Week Festival.

The journalling....!!!

I will hopefully enter again next year as I just love the whole process of the Masters, I love the challenge for myself creatively and mentally as its always different criteria each year.

Here is the layout I wanted to share that I managed to squeeze in right before I went into labour!!! I was going to submit two layouts for the CT call over at Kraft It Up but I only managed one layout before I went into labour and before the cut off date. Anyway I was happy with how it turned out, its of Luke when he was 2 helping me decorate the Christmas tree. Used lots of different bits and pieces on this layout.

Well here he is, my gorgeous little new blue bundle of joy....Oliver James!!! Oliver was born at 6pm on Tuesday the 7th of December. He weighed 6 pound 3 ounces and was 49cms long. We are all over the moon with our new precious and Mummy is so glad that its all over and my health will be back on track now hopefully. No more tripping into the hospital backwards and forwards!!!!

So far he is being a perfect baby. Luke is a little out of sorts by him but otherwise he loves him and smothers him with lots of love!!!

I was so surprised to win a prize over at White With 1 for November!!! There were like 52 entries for November, their first month back, I am still in shock!!! This is the layout below. The challenge for the month was to use White + Yellow + Journaling straight onto your layout, no strips or blocks etc.

I have another layout to share that I got done right before I went into labour but I just have to photograph it and I will be able to share. Thanks again for stopping by and all your sweet comments.

I have had such a productive day with my scrapping today!!! I am posting again as I am linking all the challenges that I have joined in. Kraft It Up have their December challenge up and its to use Kraft and scrap Christmas photos using non-traditional Christmas colours and to also include knots on your layout as well. I went with the colours, pink, blue and yellow for this challenge plus with the Kraft look I think it goes well together.

Gees I am on a roll today!! Two posts in one day!!! I forgot to share the Christmas cards so they are down a little bit.

White With 1 has their new challenge up for December and it's to use White with Grey and to do Masking as well.

I have done masking using a Tattered Angels glimmer screen with Bubbles glimmer mist but you just can't see it very well. I think I got a bit carried away and hid everything with the other embellies etc!! Sorry about the glare too from the transparency that I added!!!

So here are the Christmas cards that I made the other day, I was able to cheat a little bit as I had the Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses Card Kit!!! Everything is already included in the kit, even the instructions. All the papers are all pre-cut too and you just add the included embellies and sentiments. All up I made 8 cards but I had already put one in its envelope and I didn't want to undo it!!

Hi to all my blogging girls!!! I haven't done as much scrapping as I would like but I saw this weeks palette for The Color Room and just LOVED the bright colours especially suited for boy layouts of course!!!!

So here is my layout using all the colours and I sort of stuck to the sketch design!! These photos are of Luke at only 10 months old, I am trying to get some scrapped of when he was younger, I seem to have LOADS of them!!! I really enjoyed working with the colours and hope to join in again when I can. Thanks for the inspiration TCR!!

I was also asked to design a birds and feathers themed canvas as a sample for Challenge #6 for Camp Mojo. I tried all different techniques with the background, first of all I painted it brown, then I modge podged some muslin in the centre to give the rough feel. I then glimmermisted it all in Sapphire Blue and while it was still a bit wet I roughly painted over it with white paint to tone it down a little. I also added some Tattered Leather glimmermist just lightly at the end. I then began to decorate it, using a paper doily, some sheet music, a bird cut from PP, some feathers and some Prima of course!!! I am quite happy with the end result, I am not normally into getting my hands so dirty and doing so many things to one project but it stretched my creativity and imagination and thats what it's all about!!

Another rainy day here again today and I am back to hospital AGAIN tomorrow so I am going to have scrappy day I think, I feel OK so far today so I will see how I go!! Nearly 38 weeks now so hopefully I will have the baby real soon and get rid of all these dramas!!! Fingers crossed!!

Isn't it amazing how much scrapping you can get done when you put your mind to it and get stuck in? LOL! I have wanted to join in at Kraft It Up this month as well so here is my layout of Luke at the Washpools near Scone. I really enjoy the challenges they set, it suits me heaps to use Kraft cardstock, works so well for boy pages!!! This month was to use Kraft cardstock plus add decorative edges to your layout too.
