 There’s something truly magical about a sunset—the way the sky shifts through warm hues, the peaceful stillness, and the feeling of a perfect day winding down. That beautiful inspiration was at the heart of this scrapbook layout I created using the gorgeous Sunkissed collection by Pretty Little Studio.

For this design, I wanted to really lean into the vibrant, happy energy of the collection. The radiating sunburst pattern became the foundation of the page, I created a shaker pocket filled with sequins using the Sunburst transparency machine stitched straight onto the background patterned paper. This sunburst effect not only draws the eye straight to the photos, but also perfectly echoes the theme of a glowing sunset.

At the centre of the layout, I featured a series of small landscape photos capturing a serene lakeside sunset. The photos are arranged horizontally to tell a gentle, flowing story of the changing light across the water. To ground the photos and make them stand out, I layered them on a scalloped border and subtle embellishments that add texture while keeping the focus on the imagery.

The title, “Sunset is my Favourite Colour,” sits prominently across the design. I love how the bold black lettering contrasts with the bright background while the handwritten-style subtitle softens the look and adds a personal touch.

This layout is all about capturing a feeling—the warmth, calm, and beauty of a perfect sunset moment. The bold design combined with soft, playful embellishments like the clouds and stars I added, create a balance that feels both energetic and peaceful.
