Here is my take on the August sketch over at Scrapboxx. 3 Little Cherubs

Sunday, September 20, 2009

Woohoo, just found out that I made it through to Round 2 of the Design Team competition over at Scrapboxx. There were 26 entries in Round 1 and only 13 made it through!! Doing a victory dance here!!! The work that has been entered is outstanding though and I am up against some tough competition so I didn't even expect to get through the first round-the interpretations of the first challenge were awesome. Wish me luck for round 2.

Back soon xx

Over at Scrapboxx they have an opening for a Design Team Member. They are running a series of challenges to narrow the field down to the last one standing. I am having a go at entering, so this is my layout for round 1. The theme was My Favourite Place and there were some 'ingredients' to be included as well. 3 x different PP. 2 x paint colours, 2 x photos (1 big, 1 smaller) and more than 15 words used in the journalling. Half the entries are eliminated this round.

Just wanted to share my creations for the September Cybercrop over LSBS. This one is a challenge the guest designer Melinda gave us this month and she wanted us to use something from the man's wardrobe on your layout. I chose to cut up one of DH MANY motorbike shirts. Thought it went well with the photos I wanted to scrap. LOL

This one is mine for the same Cybercrop where you had to scatter and layer papers and embellies.

This is my interpretation of the layout sketch for the Cybercrop also.

This weekend is the next Cybercrop at The Little Scrapbook Shop, it is heaps of fun and lots of laughs all weekend!! I hope to get most of the challenges done I hope!!
Here is my layout for a weekend challenge in September over at The Little Scrapbook Shop, you had to use items/techniques using the letters N-E-W-C-A-R. I used Notepaper, Embossing, Wirlgig (lasercut paper flourish), Charms, Arrows and Rub-On's. I also just found out that I won the challenge so that was a real buzz, so excited!!!

A 52 Pick Up challenge at LSBS for September was to do male cards, this is mine that I gave hubby, he loved it!

Another challenge for 52 Pick UP was to do paper 'fans' so I did this one of Notre Dame.'

This one is a money tin to save some cash for the LSBS retreat next year and the idea is to fill it up in the year and then buy new scrap stuff with the money next year!

This is a Kaiser album I have been working on for some time now of my DS 'playing' the guitar!!

Thanks for looking, hopefully be back soon to post again! See ya xx
Gee I am so hopeless with keeping my blog up to date-sorry!! I have been overseas since I last posted which was just totally wonderful. I went with my two favourite girls in the whole world - my Mum and my sister. We had an amazing time visiting England, Ireland and Paris!!! My brother lives in London and we stayed with him for a few days and it was so great to see him and see where he is living etc. Here are some of my fave pics from our trip.
